California High School Basketball - Nevada Union thwarts Placer

The Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA), 38-27 in Thursday's league test.

The Miners (14-5) will now prepare for their test against Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA). The Bruins go into the test with a 14-9 record.

The Hillmen now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they host West Park for a test on Tuesday, February 7. Placer will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 40-22 league win over Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 21-4.
