California High School Soccer - Gilroy held off by Piedmont Hills

In Thursday's league battle, the host Piedmont Hills Pirates soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Gilroy Mustangs.
The Pirates (12-2) will now prepare for their bout against Evergreen Valley (San Jose, CA). The Cougars go into the BVAL - Santa Teresa - East bout with a 1-7 record. In their last bout, Evergreen Valley was nipped by Mt. Pleasant (San Jose, CA), 2-0, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Silver Creek Raiders (San Jose, CA) in a BVAL - Santa Teresa - East bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Gilroy will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA).
