Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the El Diamante Miners (Visalia, CA) and the visiting Mt. Whitney Pioneers (Visalia, CA), saw El Diamante's basketball squad overcome Mt. Whitney by a tally of 38-19.

With the victory, El Diamante improves its record to 2-5 on the campaign.

Next up, the Pioneers confront the Monache Marauders (Porterville, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. Mt. Whitney will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Marauders come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 35-26 league loss to Redwood (Visalia, CA).
