The Rappahannock Raiders basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting King & Queen Central Royal Tigers to 26 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Raiders now sport a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Essex for a non-league contest on Friday, February 3. Rappahannock will meet a Trojans team coming off a 52-39 non-league loss to Northumberland (Heathsville, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-6.

The Royal Tigers (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Carver College and Career Academy triumphed over Mathews (Mathews, VA), 34-27, in a non-league contest.
