Kaynor Tech Panthers (Waterbury, CT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Abbott RVT Wolverines (Danbury, CT), 51-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Kaynor Tech upgrades its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Whitney RVT (Hamden, CT) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Owls come into the bout with a record of 5-5.

Next up, the Wolverines play the Wilcox RVT Wildcats (Meriden, CT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Abbott RVT will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 70-48 league loss to Platt RVT (Milford, CT).
