In Friday's league outing, the Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Alleman Pioneers (Rock Island, IL), by a margin of 69-42.

The Golden Warriors (19-6) will now prepare for their outing against DeKalb (DeKalb, IL). The Barbs go into the non-league outing with a 17-7 record. In their last outing, DeKalb was trounced by Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL), 54-43, in a league outing.

The Pioneers now own a 3-21 record. They play next when they travel to Quincy for a Western Big 6 outing on Tuesday, February 6. Alleman will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 65-51 non-league win over East St. Louis (East St. Louis, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 24-2.
