In Friday's league outing, the Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), by a margin of 69-40.
The Crusaders (14-12) will now prepare for their outing against Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL). The Griffins go into the Gateway outing with a 10-17 record. In their last outing, Father McGivney Catholic smashed Lebanon (Lebanon, IL), 65-24, in a non-league outing.
The Knights now own a 4-16 record. They play next when they travel to Marion for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 3. Metro-East Lutheran will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 40-35 league loss to Centralia (Centralia, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 16-11.
