St. Croix Central Panthers (Hammond, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Altoona Railroaders (Altoona, WI), 73-62 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Croix Central upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Panthers host Elk Mound (Elk Mound, WI) to play the Mounders in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Mounders go into the bout with a record of 15-3.

Next up, the Railroaders play the Chippewa Falls Cardinals (Chippewa Falls, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Altoona will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 86-65 league loss to Eau Claire North (Eau Claire, WI).
