Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Amite County Trojans (Liberty, MS) and the host West Lincoln Bears (Brookhaven, MS), saw Amite County's basketball squad knock off West Lincoln by a count of 52-35.

With the victory, Amite County upgrades its record to 5-16 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS) to play the Bears in a 2A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 8-14.

Next up, the Bears play the Wilkinson County Wildcats (Woodville, MS) in a 2A Region 7 challenge, on Monday, February 5. West Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 4-16 record after their 72-51 league loss to Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS).
