The Seymour Panthers (Seymour, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Archer City Wildcats (Archer City, TX), 44-38 in Friday's league test.

The Panthers (12-15) will now prepare for their test against Windthorst (Windthorst, TX). The Trojans go into the 2A Region II District 9 test with a 17-11 record. In their last test, Windthorst was tipped by Nocona (Nocona, TX), 65-50, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 9-18 record. They play next when they host Petrolia for a 2A Region II District 9 test on Tuesday, February 6. Archer City will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 50-48 league loss to Olney (Olney, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 15-16.
