Georgia High School Basketball - Newton over Archer

February 2, 2024: Covington, GA 30014

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Newton Rams (Covington, GA) and the visiting Archer Tigers (Lawrenceville, GA), saw Newton's basketball squad overcome Archer by a tally of 71-56.

With the victory, Newton improves its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Parkview (Lilburn, GA) to confront the Panthers in a AAAAAAA Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 5-19. Parkview lost 82-57 in their recent league challenge against Grayson (Loganville, GA)

Next up, the Tigers confront the Brookwood Broncos (Snellville, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Archer will attempt to improve on its 18-5 season record. The Broncos come into the challenge with a 13-11 record after their 65-59 league win over South Gwinnett (Snellville, GA).
