The Roby Lions (Roby, TX) basketball knocked off the host Aspermont Hornets (Aspermont, TX), 44-36 in Friday's league test.

The Lions (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Paint Creek (Haskell, TX). The Pirates go into the 1A Region II District 15 test with a 0-12 record. In their last test, Paint Creek went down by Rotan (Rotan, TX), 61-22, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 17-10 record. They play next when they travel to Rule for a 1A Region II District 15 test on Tuesday, February 6. Aspermont will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 70-10 league loss to Knox City (Knox City, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-13.
