In Friday's league outing, the South Lafourche Tarpons (Galliano, LA) basketball squad beat the visiting Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA), by a margin of 40-28.

The Tarpons (9-16) will now prepare for their outing against Morgan City (Morgan City, LA). The Tigers go into the 4A District 7 outing with a 6-18 record. In their last outing, Morgan City was beaten by Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA), 67-26, in a league outing.

The Mustangs now own a 1-20 record. They play next when they host A.J. Ellender for a 4A District 7 outing on Tuesday, February 6. Assumption will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 74-44 non-league loss to Northside (Lafayette, LA). The Patriots record now stands at 11-14.
