Illinois High School Basketball - Aurora East tops West Chicago

February 2, 2024: West Chicago, IL 60185

Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host West Chicago Wildcats (West Chicago, IL), 62-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Aurora East upgrades its record to 8-18 on the campaign. The Tomcats host South Elgin (South Elgin, IL) to play the Storm in a Upstate Eight bout on Friday, February 9. The Storm come into the bout with a record of 13-12.

Next up, the Wildcats play the St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 3. West Chicago will attempt to upgrade on its 6-20 season record. The Green Wave come into the bout with a 9-15 record after their 48-31 league loss to Aurora Christian (Aurora, IL).
