The Hankinson Pirates (Hankinson, ND) basketball nipped the visiting Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] Bison (Rogers, ND), 62-56 in Friday's league test.

The Pirates (13-2) will now prepare for their test against Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] (Rosholt, SD). The Tigers go into the B District 1 test with a 3-11 record. In their last test, Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] was tipped by Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] (Rogers, ND), 62-51, in a league test.

The Bison now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they host Richland for a B District 1 test on Monday, February 5. Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] will encounter a Colts squad coming off a 55-49 league win over Maple Valley (Tower City, ND). The Colts record now stands at 5-11.
