Valley View Blazers (Jonesboro, AR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR), 66-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Valley View upgrades its record to 15-8 on the campaign. The Blazers host Paragould (Paragould, AR) to play the Rams in a 5A East bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 10-14. Paragould lost 78-49 in their recent league bout against Searcy (Searcy, AR)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles (Paragould, AR) in a 5A East bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Batesville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-17 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a 13-13 record after their 72-60 league loss to Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR).
