The Oak Glen Golden Bears basketball team (New Cumberland, WV), was overwhelmed 70-43 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Beaver Beavers (Lisbon, OH)

The Beavers now possess a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harrison Central for a Buckeye 8 battle on Tuesday, February 6. Beaver will confront a Huskies team coming off a 66-62 league loss to Martins Ferry (Martins Ferry, OH). The Huskies record now stands at 14-3.

The Golden Bears (5-12) will now prepare for their battle against Edison (Richmond, OH). The Wildcats come into the Buckeye 8 battle with a 5-13 record. In their last battle, Edison was overwhelmed by Brooke (Wellsburg, WV), 72-45, in a non-league battle.
