South Carolina High School Basketball - Calhoun County trounces Blackville-Hilda

February 2, 2024: Blackville, SC 29817

The Calhoun County Saints (St. Matthews, SC) basketball crushed the host Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks (Blackville, SC), 80-50 in Friday's league test.

The Saints (13-7) will now prepare for their test against Ridge Spring-Monetta (Monetta, SC). The Trojans go into the A Region 4 test with a 8-14 record. In their last test, Ridge Spring-Monetta was trounced by North (North, SC), 68-45, in a league test.

The Fighting Hawks now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Denmark-Olar for a A Region 4 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Blackville-Hilda will battle a Vikings team coming off a 56-51 league win over Williston-Elko (Williston, SC). The Vikings record now stands at 15-5.
