The Christian Brothers Purple Wave basketball team (Memphis, TN), was nudged 51-44 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Briarcrest Christian Saints (Eads, TN)

The Saints now possess a 23-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Benedict at Auburndale for a Division II-AA West battle on Tuesday, February 6. Briarcrest Christian will battle a Eagles team coming off a 64-41 non-league loss to Memphis University School (Memphis, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 6-13.

The Purple Wave (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Memphis University School (Memphis, TN). The Owls come into the Division II-AA West battle with a 19-3 record. In their last battle, Memphis University School edged St. Benedict at Auburndale (Cordova, TN), 64-41, in a non-league battle.
