Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Calloway County Lakers (Murray, KY) and the host Murray Tigers (Murray, KY), saw Calloway County's basketball squad overcome Murray by a tally of 50-42.

With the victory, Calloway County improves its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Lakers host Haywood (Brownsville, TN) to confront the Tomcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Haywood won 39-35 in their recent league challenge against Fayette Ware (Somerville, TN)

Next up, the Tigers confront the Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY) in a District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Murray will attempt to improve on its 17-6 season record. The Marshals come into the challenge with a 17-4 record after their 62-54 non-league win over Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY).
