Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) and the visiting Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), saw Carson's basketball squad hold off Lake Norman Charter by a tally of 68-65.

With the victory, Carson improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Cougars host Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to confront the Trojans in a 3A South Piedmont challenge on Friday, February 9. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 11-9.

Next up, the Knights confront the Robinson Bulldogs (Concord, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Lake Norman Charter will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 14-5 record after their 65-64 league win over Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC).
