The South Albany Redhawks (Albany, OR) basketball nipped the host Central Panthers (Independence, OR), 45-44 in Friday's league test.
The Redhawks (12-5) will now prepare for their test against McKay (Salem, OR). The Royal Scots go into the 5A Mid-Willamette test with a 4-13 record. In their last test, McKay was tipped by Crescent Valley (Corvallis, OR), 67-59, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Silverton for a 5A Mid-Willamette test on Tuesday, February 6.
