Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chapel Hill Bulldogs (Tyler, TX) and the host Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX), witnessed Chapel Hill's basketball squad crush Gilmer by a margin of 57-34.

The Bulldogs (24-4) will now prepare for their test against Henderson (Henderson, TX). The Lions go into the 4A Region III District 17 test with a 2-27 record. In their last test, Henderson was trounced by Center (Center, TX), 84-46, in a league test.

The Buckeyes now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Spring Hill for a 4A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, February 6. Gilmer will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 42-37 non-league loss to Marshall Christian Academy (Marshall, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 12-15.
