In Friday's league outing, the Poteau Pirates (Poteau, OK) basketball squad beat the visiting Checotah Wildcats (Checotah, OK), by a count of 69-57.
The Pirates (10-12) will now prepare for their outing against Sallisaw (Sallisaw, OK). The Black Diamonds go into the NOAA outing with a 7-11 record. In their last outing, Sallisaw was topped by Checotah (Checotah, OK), 50-40, in a league outing.
The Wildcats now hold a 4-14 record. They play next when they host Roland for a NOAA outing on Tuesday, February 6. Checotah will clash with a Rangers squad coming off a 57-54 league win over Muldrow (Muldrow, OK). The Rangers record now stands at 18-1.
