The Woodlawn Cardinals basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Cisne Runnin' Lions to 53 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 11-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wayne City for a Midland Trail contest on Tuesday, February 6. Woodlawn will battle a Indians team coming off a 79-50 non-league loss to Flora (Flora, IL). The Indians record now stands at 7-19.
The Runnin' Lions (10-16) will now prepare for their contest against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (Norris City, IL). The Fighting Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 6-19 record. In their last contest, Norris City-Omaha-Enfield was defeated by Webber (Bluford, IL), 82-61, in a non-league contest.
