Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils (Durham, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT), 63-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Coginchaug Regional upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT) to play the Rams in a Shoreline bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 3-11.

Next up, the Highlanders play the Hale Ray Noises (Moodus, CT) in a Shoreline bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Portland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Noises go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 48-27 league loss to Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT).
