Sparta Spartans (Sparta, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Comstock Park Panthers (Comstock Park, MI), 70-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Sparta upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Spartans host Hopkins (Hopkins, MI) to play the Vikings in a Ottawa-Kent - Silver bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Hopkins won 68-65 in their recent league bout against NorthPointe Christian (Grand Rapids, MI)

Next up, the Panthers play the Godwin Heights Wolverines (Wyoming, MI) in a Ottawa-Kent - Silver bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Comstock Park will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 68-36 league win over Hopkins (Hopkins, MI).
