In Friday's league match, the visiting Cosby Eagles basketball team scored a good 80-60 triumph over the Washburn Pirates.
In their next game, the Eagles meet the Cocke County Fighting Cocks (Newport, TN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 6. Cosby will attempt to move on its 14-7 season record. The Fighting Cocks enter the match with a 9-16 record after their 69-61 non-league loss to Morristown-Hamblen East (Morristown, TN).
With the defeat, Washburn moves to 4-15 on the year. The Pirates host West Greene (Mosheim, TN) to meet the Buffaloes in a non-league match on Monday, February 5. The Buffaloes enter the match with a record of 2-16.
