Havana Ducks (Havana, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats (Cuba, IL), 36-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Havana upgrades its record to 6-17 on the campaign. The Ducks travel to Canton (Canton, IL) to play the Little Giants in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Little Giants come into the bout with a record of 8-18. Canton lost 48-31 in their recent league bout against Pekin (Pekin, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Astoria/VIT Rebels (Astoria, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Cuba/Spoon River Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-16 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 50-32 league loss to Macomb (Macomb, IL).
