Iowa High School Basketball - Davis County can't hold off Knoxville

The Knoxville Panthers basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Davis County Mustangs to 65 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newton for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Knoxville will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 64-55 league loss to Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-9.
The Mustangs (2-15) will now prepare for their contest against Van Buren County (Keosauqua, IA). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 5-15 record. In their last contest, Van Buren County nudged Lone Tree (Lone Tree, IA), 67-65, in a non-league contest.
