Downers Grove South Mustangs (Downers Grove, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Willowbrook Warriors (Villa Park, IL), 84-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Downers Grove South upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Mustangs host Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL) to confront the Bengals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Bengals come into the challenge with a record of 10-17. Plainfield East lost 69-59 in their recent league challenge against Yorkville (Yorkville, IL)

Next up, the Warriors confront the Christ the King Gladiators (Chicago, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Willowbrook will attempt to improve on its 8-18 season record. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a 22-4 record after their 70-46 league win over Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL).
