The Dutchtown Griffins basketball team (Geismar, LA), was nudged 50-47 in Friday's league battle with the host St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA)
The Gators now sport a 23-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walker for a 5A District 5 battle on Tuesday, February 6. St. Amant will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 91-66 non-league loss to Archbishop Shaw (Marrero, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-16.
The Griffins (13-13) will now prepare for their battle against Destrehan (Destrehan, LA). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 1-24 record. In their last battle, Destrehan was nudged by Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA), 61-49, in a league battle.
