The El Cajon Valley Braves basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Santana Sultans to 66 in the Braves league victory on Friday.

The Braves now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monte Vista for a Grossmont - Hills contest on Tuesday, February 6. El Cajon Valley will battle a Monarchs team coming off a 83-53 league win over Grossmont (El Cajon, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 18-8.

The Sultans (9-17) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA). The Matadors come into the Grossmont - Hills contest with a 17-8 record. In their last contest, Mount Miguel was nudged by El Capitan (Lakeside, CA), 75-65, in a league contest.
