John Adams Spartans (Ozone Park, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Flushing Red Devils (Flushing, NY), 49-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, John Adams upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Newtown (Elmhurst, NY) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 11-2. Newtown won 95-58 in their recent league bout against Long Island City (Long Island City, NY)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Metropolitan (Bronx, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Flushing will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The come into the bout with a 3-17 record after their 107-20 league loss to Leaders In Our Neighborhood (Bronx, NY).
