Friends Select (Philadelphia, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting George School Cougars (Newtown, PA), 69-64 in a league bout.

With the win, Friends Select upgrades its record to 7-14 on the season. The travel to Academy of the New Church (Bryn Athyn, PA) to play the Lions in a Friends Schools bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 18-4. Academy of the New Church won 61-57 in their recent non-league bout against Malvern Prep (Malvern, PA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Patrick School National Celtics (Hillside, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 3. George School will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Celtics go into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 64-44 league win over College Achieve (Asbury Park, NJ).
