The Genoa Area Comets basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Rossford Bulldogs to 44 in the Comets league victory on Friday.

The Comets now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fostoria for a Northern Buckeye contest on Tuesday, February 6. Genoa Area will battle a Redmen team coming off a 68-48 league win over Otsego (Tontogany, OH). The Redmen record now stands at 13-3.

The Bulldogs (1-15) will now prepare for their contest against Otsego (Tontogany, OH). The Knights come into the Northern Buckeye contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Otsego was nudged by Fostoria (Fostoria, OH), 68-48, in a league contest.
