Texas High School Basketball - Lamar knocked off by Grand Prairie

The Grand Prairie Gophers basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Lamar Vikings to 44 in the Gophers league triumph on Friday.
The Gophers now sport a 17-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Martin for a 6A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Grand Prairie will meet a Warriors team coming off a 56-50 league win over Sam Houston (Arlington, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 14-16.
The Vikings (10-18) will now prepare for their contest against Arlington (Arlington, TX). The Colts enter the 6A Region I District 8 contest with a 7-20 record. In their last contest, Arlington was outscored by South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX), 76-47, in a league contest.
