Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Highlands Golden Rams (Natrona Heights, PA) and the visiting Greensburg Salem Golden Lions (Greensburg, PA), saw Highlands's basketball squad overcome Greensburg Salem by a tally of 70-50.

With the victory, Highlands improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Golden Rams travel to Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA) to confront the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 16-2. Deer Lakes won 78-23 in their recent league challenge against Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA)

Next up, the Golden Lions confront the Freeport Yellowjackets (Freeport, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Greensburg Salem will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 66-42 league loss to Hampton (Allison Park, PA).
