Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting H-L-V Warriors (Victor, IA), 45-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sigourney upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Savages travel to Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA) to confront the Plainsmen in a South Iowa Cedar battle on Saturday, February 3. The Plainsmen come into the battle with a record of 14-6. Belle Plaine lost 61-56 in their recent non-league battle against GMG (Garwin, IA)

The Warriors (4-14) will now prepare for their battle against Cedar Valley Christian (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Huskies come into the non-league battle with a 1-13 record. In their last battle, Cedar Valley Christian was toppled by Marquette (Bellevue, IA), 92-21, in a non-league battle.
