Texas High School Basketball - Hondo knocked off by Lytle

The Lytle Pirates basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Hondo Owls to 50 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 23-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crystal City for a 3A Region IV District 28 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Lytle will battle a Javelinas team coming off a 87-70 league win over Cotulla (Cotulla, TX). The Javelinas record now stands at 19-12.
The Owls (9-23) will now prepare for their contest against Natalia (Natalia, TX). The Mustangs enter the 3A Region IV District 28 contest with a 21-9 record. In their last contest, Natalia ran past Dilley (Dilley, TX), 52-40, in a league contest.
