The Houston Hurricanes basketball team (Houston, MN), dropped 81-65 in Friday's league battle with the host Mabel-Canton Cougars (Mabel, MN)

The Cougars now possess a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lanesboro for a A Section 1 battle on Monday, February 5. Mabel-Canton will battle a Burros team coming off a 71-54 league win over Grand Meadow (Grand Meadow, MN). The Burros record now stands at 6-14.

The Hurricanes (10-9) will now prepare for their battle against Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN). The Falcons come into the A Section 1 battle with a 10-11 record. In their last battle, Wabasha-Kellogg beat Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN), 55-46, in a non-league battle.
