Hubbard Jaguars (Hubbard, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mart Panthers (Mart, TX), 42-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Hubbard upgrades its record to 17-12 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Bremond (Bremond, TX) to play the Tigers in a 2A Region III District 18 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 16-9. Bremond won 61-50 in their recent league bout against Wortham (Wortham, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Riesel Indians (Riesel, TX) in a 2A Region III District 18 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Mart will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record.
