The North Panola Cougars (Sardis, MS) basketball crushed the host Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS), 76-50 in Friday's league test.
The Cougars (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Noxubee County (Macon, MS). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 11-11 record. In their last test, Noxubee County walloped McLaurin (Florence, MS), 68-31, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 10-12 record.
