The Jackson Christian Royals basketball team scored 36 points and held the visiting Waldron Spartans to 34 in the Royals league triumph on Friday.

The Royals now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tekonsha for a Southern Central contest on Monday, February 5. Jackson Christian will battle a Indians team coming off a 47-45 league win over North Adams-Jerome (North Adams, MI). The Indians record now stands at 3-13.

The Spartans (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Gorham Fayette (Fayette, OH). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Gorham Fayette was nudged by Holgate (Holgate, OH), 53-28, in a league contest.
