The Verdigris Cardinals basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Jay Bulldogs to 48 in the Cardinals league victory on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vinita for a Verdigris Valley contest on Tuesday, February 6. Verdigris will battle a Hornets team coming off a 43-39 league loss to Miami (Miami, OK). The Hornets record now stands at 4-16.
The Bulldogs (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Oologah (Oologah, OK). The Mustangs come into the Verdigris Valley contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Oologah was defeated by Fort Gibson (Fort Gibson, OK), 66-54, in a league contest.
