The Spur Bulldogs basketball team (Spur, TX), was routed 92-33 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Jayton Jaybirds (Jayton, TX)
The Jaybirds now sport a 27-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paducah for a 1A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, February 6. Jayton will battle a Dragons team coming off a 97-53 league win over Guthrie (Guthrie, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 17-9.
The Bulldogs (4-16) will now prepare for their battle against Patton Springs (Afton, TX). The Rangers come into the 1A Region I District 5 battle with a 7-15 record. In their last battle, Patton Springs was routed by Motley County (Matador, TX), 42-40, in a league battle.
