The St. Augustine Purple Knights basketball team (New Orleans, LA), was nudged 50-49 in Friday's league battle with the host John Curtis Christian Patriots (River Ridge, LA)

The Patriots now possess a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Livingston Collegiate Academy for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 3.

The Purple Knights (20-9) will now prepare for their battle against Bonnabel (Kenner, LA). The Bruins come into the non-league battle with a 19-10 record. In their last battle, Bonnabel edged East Jefferson (Metairie, LA), 74-55, in a league battle.
