In Friday's league outing, the La Salle Institute Cadets (Troy, NY) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Schalmont Sabres (Schenectady, NY), by a margin of 82-53.

The Cadets (13-4) will now prepare for their outing against Christian Brothers Academy (Albany, NY). The Brothers go into the non-league outing with a 9-7 record. In their last outing, Christian Brothers Academy smashed Averill Park (Averill Park, NY), 65-28, in a league outing.

The Sabres now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Lansingburgh for a Section 2 Colonial - Liberty outing on Tuesday, February 6. Schalmont will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 75-48 league loss to Catholic Central (Troy, NY). The Knights record now stands at 12-6.
