The Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA) basketball nipped the host Lake Arthur Tigers (Lake Arthur, LA), 76-74 in Friday's league test.

The Greyhounds (13-11) will now prepare for their test against Vinton (Vinton, LA). The Lions go into the 2A District 5 test with a 18-5 record. In their last test, Vinton got by Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA), 74-57, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 13-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hamilton Christian for a non-league test on Monday, February 5. Lake Arthur will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 68-48 league win over Elton (Elton, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 13-12.
