Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC) and the visiting Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC), saw Lakewood's basketball squad wallop Union by a tally of 75-37.
With the victory, Lakewood improves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to North Duplin (Calypso, NC) to play the Rebels in a 1A Carolina challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 9-9. North Duplin won 65-48 in their recent league challenge against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC)
Next up, the Spartans play the Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) in a 1A Carolina challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Union will attempt to improve on its 0-17 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 74-46 league win over Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC).
